Montée Masson, Terrebonne, 2015
The major urban square and the Parc des Lions at the intersection of Montée Masson and Boulevard des Seigneurs were thoroughly upgraded and transformed into a memorable gateway to the historic sector of Terrebonne at a cost of over $5.2 million.
Forty trees, more than 550 shrubs and numerous grasses and perennials were planted to enhance its beauty. Concrete pavers in a variety of sizes, colors and finishes give vitality to the park.
A water retention basin has been installed underneath the park to relieve the sewer backflow problems citizens had been complaining about in recent years.
Bolduc Avenue pavers were used to cover the 11,500 sq. ft. area.
